Magman video among finalists of IEEE CSS Video Contest

Videoclip created by Jiří Zemánek about the platform for magnetic manipulation made it among the finalists of the 2014 IEEE Control Systems Society Video Contest.

Video recording of Jiří Zemánek's presentation of MagMan platform at Technical Computing Prague 2013 conference

The video is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHpaE2AjM-w. Jiří was invited to give the talk as the winner of the 2013 Matlab and Simulink Student Design Challenge. The MagMan platform serves as a benchmark platform for validation of some control concepts for manipulation by shaping force fields through arrays of actuators (or rather local contributors to the global force field).

AA4CC team ranked 5th at 2013 IEEE RAS Mobile Microrobotics Challenge in Karlsruhe

Doctoral candidate Jiří Zemánek and three (under)graduate students - Jakub Drs, Tomáš Michálek and Jakub Tomášek, all from the AA4CC team (CTU in Prague) coordinated by Dr. Zdeněk Hurák have qualified and participated at a prestigious international microrobotics competition called IEEE RAS Microrobotics Challenge in Karlsruhe, May 6-10, 2013.

The ranking of the Prague AA4CC team at 2012 NIST Mobile Microrobotics Challenge, where they used dielectrophoresis to manipulate microscopic objects, was mentioned on the popular technet.idnes.cz site: http://technet.idnes.cz/roboti-bezpilotni-letadla-dcm-/tec_technika.aspx....

One of the BIOCENTEX teams ranked 4th at 2012 NIST Microrobotics Challenge

One of BioCentEx teams - AA4CC from CTU in Prague - ranked 4th at  NIST Mobile Microrobotics Challenge 2012, which took place during 2012 ICRA (IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation) in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA, May 14-18, 2012. Namely, the undergraduate student Jakub Drs and Dr. Zdeněk Hurák attended the event.
